MHISC cosponsors, with host schools, forums for health educators to discuss issues which are important to them and their students.
The forums are offered in different regions of the state for health educators, nurses, counselors, deans, psychologists, advisors and everyone who is involved in enhancing the wellness of the school community. The regional forums will each meet several times a year in a breakfast meeting format, hosted at different schools.
The participants will choose the topics for the meetings. Participants will share concerns, challenges, curriculum, resources and best practices. Each discussion will be framed by the relevant data from the National ISHC) Independent School Database.
Several topics/meetings to date are:
- Substance Abuse hosted by Watkinson School
- Self Harm hosted by Miss Porters
- Advisor Programs hosted by Hopkins School
