Adults with Bipolar Disorder

The reason we are doing this study is to gain a better understanding of the structural and functional brain, cognitive, and genetic differences between persons with different types of bipolar disorder.

That is, do people with different types of bipolar disorder perform and look different?

What Will I Do?

Qualified participants will complete interviews, pen, paper and computer tests, blood draw, electroencephalogy (EEG), and non-invasive magnetic resonance imaging tests (MRI). The entire study will last approximately 10-12 hours and is broken up into two shorter 5-6 hour appointments.

Who Can Participate?

You might be eligible to participate if: 

  • You or someone has been diagnosed with Bipolar I Disorder
  • Healthy people who have never been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder
  • All participants must be between the ages of 18-60.

Will There be Compensation?

Yes, you will be paid an hourly rate of $20/hr for your time.
