Dr. Black is a proud Ethnic Black American woman whose ancestors originate within American history,
associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Connecticut, and the inaugural Vice Chair of Education for the Institute of Living. Dr. Black’s research and thought leadership focus on strengthening how we understand the role of American history in shaping opportunity and wellbeing today.
