Brain Activity Study

This study aims to compare physiological responses, such as sweating, breathing, and brain activity, during discarding-related decisions and emotionally neutral decisions.

We will compare these responses in patients with hoarding disorder, patients with anxiety disorders, and healthy controls without psychiatric disorders. Participants will complete an interview with a clinician and some questionnaires, followed by a series of computer tasks that involve making decisions about discarding items and making emotionally neutral decisions. Participants will be connected to non-invasive (outside the body) sensors while completing the computer tasks. Participants will receive up to $50 for their time.

To find out if the study is a good fit for you, please complete a brief and confidential survey. If the study seems like a good match, we will contact you to discuss the study further. Thank you for your interest!
