Ronald Janssen

Title: Post Doctoral Volunteer
Lab: Olin Neuropsychiatry Research Center

Ronald obtained his Bachelors in Zoology from the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. There he discovered his fascination with neurobiology and wanted to delve deeper, so he got his Masters in Neuroscience at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. From there, he went down the methodological rabbit-hole. First by working as a research assistent in an MR-physics lab, then as a PhD-student on a project about Bayesian analysis models in an artificial intelligence lab.

Currently, he is desperately trying to weave the themes of his background into something resembling a coherent research program. To that end he is developing computational models for psychosis, more specifically hallucinations and delusions.

In his free time, he plays Dungeons & Dragons and enjoys reading/watching science fiction and fantasy.
